My story is probably not that unique or that different than yours. Nobody says in elementary school “I want to grow up and stare at charts for hours until I become a successful trader!!” They say things like “I want to be a football player” or “I want to be a doctor” or “I want to be a princess”. I wanted to be in Business and that’s all i knew. I graduated college with a degree in Education but never actually became a teacher. After college High Schools in Michigan weren’t hiring in my development area so I started working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. After 4 years there I spent the next 10 years working for other Fortune 500 companies ($CTAS & $TRI) but something inside me was always wanting more. Being in sales all those years and reading tons of sales/motivation books one thing that Grant Cardone (he’s a good follow) said stuck with me “There is no shortage of money in this world, only a shortage of people willing to go get it”. When he said at that, then gave some crazy stats on how much wealth there is in the world and how much i would be if we divided it equally among everyone, hint: everyone would be at least a millionaire, follow it up with being a fan of Wall Street, Boiler room, and Wolf of Wall Street I said that’s it! Wall Street hedge fund managers are making Billions, I want a chunk of that money and live life on my terms. On December 1st, 2016 I officially started my trading journey part-time and ever since then this has been my credo:
If you’re reading this then you too are an aspiring or successful trader. Either way we can both learn from each other. Traders are not born, they’re made! I truly believe that as every journey I have read started out with highs, lows, big wins, blown up accounts and everything in between. Learn from others success and others failures.
